Tradition consists of 80% Faroese wool and 20% English lambswool. The yarn has been produced to meet a demand for old-style yarns that have been popular in the Faroe Islands for knitting 'skipstroyggjur' or boatman's jerseys. In Faroese, the yarn is called "Samfingið" meaning 'unsorted,' i.e. the coarser fibres are not plucked out. This results in a characterful rustic yarn that is especially suitable for rugged jumpers and jackets. As a concession to modern style trends, the blending with 20% English lambswool results in a softer feel in addition to making it stronger.

Navia Tradition is an Aran-weight yarn, suitable for jumpers and jackets.

Each 100g. ball contains approx. 180 metres of yarn. 100 % Wool.
